Michelle McCarthy, a certified coach and Sommelier, holds the Diploma of Wine from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, and is on the Board of the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers (CAPS). Michelle is committed to education and training of staff within the industry and honed her skill at program development and delivery while Chair, Hospitality & Tourism, George Brown College for five years. Michelle teaches in the CAPS Sommelier Certification Program, as well as for the Independent Wine Education Guild, a number of colleges, and conducts private and corporate seminars. She is also a member of CAPS, the Society of Wine Educators, Cuisine Canada, Women’s Culinary Network and Associate Member of the Institute of Wine. Michelle has extensive human resources management experience and has a coaching and consulting practice specializing in executive, leadership and team coaching.
